Role Purpose : The role of the Corporate Communications Manager is to work in conjunction with the Corporate Communications team to develop and manage MAF LEC communications strategy and implement a broad range of public relations activities and plans to achieve organizational, business and brand goals. They will be primarily responsible for proactively telling LEC’s corporate story internally with a direct connection to external communications, specifically engaging employees and ensuring that they feel informed, motivated and connected with the work that we do. The role is also responsible for ensuring all external and internal communications messaging and narratives are consistent with Corporate Communications standards.

Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • Develop an effective communication strategy and implement comprehensive communication plans ensuring alignment with key stakeholders. Oversees the ongoing progress of the strategy
  • Ensure that business goals, organizational initiatives and people news are communicated effectively and in line with our values and business strategy to employees and stakeholders
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and with external communications messages
  • Manage the delivery and planning of internal communications events (eg. Town Halls, signing ceremonies, staff events)
  • Use internal communication tools and channels to drive staff engagement
  • Manage Workplace (internal social media channel) and maintain the content calendar by liaising with relevant stakeholders in all markets to develop content and ensure it is kept up to date
  • Develop and implement an overarching corporate external and internal communications guidelines, policies, and processes
  • Build rapport across operational functions to ensure keen understanding of business requirements and support with optimal service
  • Advise and counsel senior management on the use of internal communications
  • Establish metrics, track progress and develop tools to improve communication effectiveness
  • Performs any additional adhoc duties as and when requested by the Line Manager and/or Head of Department

  • Proven ability to write clear content around complex concepts
  • Experience directly supporting executives with communications requirements

  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Minimum experience

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Internal Communications within a large conglomerate in the GCC
  • Public Relations experience is also highly desirable

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or Marketing discipline
