Librarian

Women's Librarian
The Women's Librarian at our prestigious library in Musaffah, UAE will be responsible for managing and developing the library's collections, programs, and services specifically targeted towards the female population. This is a full-time position that requires experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a diverse collection of books, magazines, and digital resources relevant to women's interests and needs
- Plan and implement programs and events that promote literacy, education, and empowerment for women
- Provide reference services and assist patrons with research inquiries
- Collaborate with other librarians to ensure the overall success of the library's objectives
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and resources related to women's issues
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all library visitors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working as a librarian, preferably in a women-focused setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Proficient in using technology for library operations such as cataloging, circulation, and reference services
- Biometric passport required for visa processing (if not already residing in UAE)
- Indian nationality preferred but not required
- Must be able to work full-time without accommodation provided
