As a Vehicle Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for expanding the product range and managing the procurement processes for the vehicle business. Your primary focus will be on sourcing products from existing and new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost savings. You will also be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, coordinating with the sales team, and optimizing commercial terms. This role requires a strong understanding of the automotive industry, knowledge of product range and models, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency in procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities: Stay updated with the latest trends, models, features, and benefits in the automotive industry, worldwide.
Conduct market research to identify potential new products and suppliers to enhance the current product line.
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, sales and logistics, to align vehicle procurement activities with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies for expanding the vehicle business and aligning the product range with customer requirements.
Prepare and manage the vehicle procurement budget, including forecasting and cost analysis.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, such as bulk purchasing.
Develop creative and innovative procurement processes to efficiently source products.
Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers based on market research and industry knowledge.
Coordinate with the sales team to provide accurate and timely product availability information.
Negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms.
Ensure suppliers meet production schedules and customer requirements by effectively managing the sourcing process.
Monitor supplier performance, track key performance data, and generate management reports on cost savings and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
Proven 4+ years of experience in vehicle procurement, or a similar role.
Bilingual English and Arabic or some other language.
Strong knowledge of automotive industry trends, vehicle specifications, and market dynamics.
Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience :
- Buying new Vehicles: 6 years (preferred)
