Quality control Executive - Food

Location: Jammu (WFO)

Must have: Quality, FMCG, Research

Job Purpose: Analyze food samples (Raw materials and Finished Goods) received from all categories for both chemical and Instrumentation parameters as per instructions of Team Lead and document the analytical Familiarization of new analytical techniques and independent handling of instruments and participation in sensory evaluation and compliance to necessary EHS and GLP

Job Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance analysis as per Spec
  • Analysis of Raw materials and finished products as per specification and documentation of results IN ORDER TO ensure the consistency and quality of

  • Preparation and standardization of lab Reagents and standard solutions
  • Preparation of Standard solutions & reagents required for analysis as per standard operating procedures and standardization of same IN ORDER TO carry out the routine analysis of samples received

  • Documentation for ISO 17025 and NABL accreditation
  • Preparation and review of documents pertaining to Laboratory Quality Management Record maintenance for audit

  • Calibration of Analytical Instruments
  • Calibrate analytical instruments and balances as per the set frequency IN ORDER TO check the efficiency of instrument for Follow-up for calibration to be carried out by various

  • GLP and EHS Awareness
  • Learn, Practice and monitor effective implementation of GLP and EHS in lab IN ORDER TO generate accurate results and provide safe working environment

Required Experience & Qualification

Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Food Science/ Biochemistry with a minimum of 2 years Industry/Institutional Experience of Chemical and Instrumentation

Knowledge and Business Understanding

Understanding of ISO 17025 and NABL accreditation; Knowledge of Good Lab Practices (GLP);

Knowledge of current practices in the food quality testing;

Knowledge of EHS, chemical safety (preferable);

Knowledge of food chemistry related quality aspects: product shelf life, rancidity, off-flavor formation

Skills: research, quality analyst, quality assurance
