Job Description

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
  • Configuring and optimizing network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
  • Installing and managing network hardware and software, including network operating systems, network management tools, and network security systems.
  • Monitoring network performance and reliability, diagnosing and resolving network issues, and implementing proactive measures to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Conducting network capacity planning and traffic analysis to identify and address network bottlenecks and performance issues.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements and align with security and compliance standards.
  • Implementing and maintaining network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control policies.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
  • Managing network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change management records.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of network policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT teams on network-related issues.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging network technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and making recommendations for network infrastructure improvements.
  • Participating in the evaluation, selection, and procurement of network equipment and software.
  • Performing network performance testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conducting network audits and implementing network security best practices.
  • Participating in on-call rotations and providing support during network emergencies or outages.
