Head of Sales--multinational Wholesale clothing

A Dubai-based fast-growing fashion brand with focus on resort wear is looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join them in the role of Head of Sales.

The Head of Sales will be responsible for the overall management of our Sales Team and Agents’ network in addition to growing the existing Showroom / agency network globally.

As Head of sales, you will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed with everything you do in life. The glass is always half full. You understand that one sometimes has to be firm, but also that one always gets more from a smile than a harsh comment.

Roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Achieve growth by successfully managing the sales team/agents/showrooms globally.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in all desired markets.
  • Define the approach for the overall sale of new business and account retention at both B2B & B2C.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop sales and distribution policies that reflect the organization's goals, in line with company’s ethics and values.
  • Collaborate with owners and team members from the marketing team to penetrate key markets, in the most cost efficient and impactful way.
  • Direct the Sales team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Sourcing and monitoring of sales agents/showrooms globally.
  • Foster relationships with new partners to achieve desired revenue.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Investigate factors impacting sales performance and present sales realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Monitor changes in the industry and leverages them for business opportunities.
  • Outline objectives in key target areas such as sales volume, market share, distribution channels, and profit margins.
  • Provide input on sales incentive structure and key performance indicators to help monitor targets.
  • Ensure the brand will participate in the most relevant tradeshows across the globe.
  • Manage Key Accounts.
  • Provide input to the Content Development team based on customer and industry feedback.
  • Recommend changes in pricing structures in product lines or products.
  • Review sales performance by analysing performance reports.
  • Business travel and head up tradeshows and all preparations behind the scenes.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Business Management, or similar.
  • 5-7 years as Head of Sales within multinational wholesale clothing and/or apparel/ retail environment is a must.
  • Existing contacts and network within the industry preferable but not a must

Skills

  • Good understanding and experience in Fashion/ Clothing / Retail environment/ E-commerce.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and knowledge of accounting for reporting purposes.
  • Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly.
  • Good Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts.
  • Good interpersonal and can help build strong teams within a business and ensure work functions are performed successfully.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Positive energy to get every task done independently on time with accuracy.
  • Must have a good and clear vision, aligned with the brand.
  • Good understanding for modern digital marketing and how to make optimized use of it as a fashion brand at B2C and B2B level.
