Estimator - Drawing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator specializing in drawings to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with a specific focus on interpreting technical drawings to accurately assess project costs. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to determine material quantities, labor requirements, and associated expenses. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive cost estimates and ensure project feasibility within budgetary constraints. Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to understand scope, materials, and construction requirements. Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings using appropriate software tools. Estimate material costs, labor expenses, equipment rentals, and other project-related expenditures based on drawings and project specifications. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify project requirements, resolve discrepancies, and identify value engineering opportunities. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages within established deadlines. Evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiate pricing, and facilitate subcontractor selection in coordination with procurement and project management teams. Maintain updated databases of material prices, labor rates, and industry trends to ensure cost estimates reflect current market conditions. Participate in pre-construction meetings, site visits, and client presentations to discuss project requirements, cost breakdowns, and value-added solutions. Support project managers and construction teams during the project lifecycle by providing ongoing cost analysis, budget tracking, and change order management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
