Serco is looking for a Head of Quality and Safety who will provide leadership within the Transport Sector in the fields associated with Safety and Quality Assurance through an active role in the sector management team, coordinated with the central Divisional team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain an effective Safety and Assurance management system for the Sector which meets the requirements of the Serco Management System and other requirements to which the Sector subscribes (ISO/ OHSAS/ Regulatory); this will include Aviation Safety Management Systems (ASMS), Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS), Licensing systems (PEL), and any other necessary systems associated with aviation safety management and assurance
• Lead the oversight of Aviation Safety Analysis/Assessments, Incident Investigations and Aviation Safety Management Systems in SME
• Ensure understanding and delivery of the Divisional Assurance objectives and action plans across the Sector and report on progress regularly to the Sector management and Divisional Health and Safety committee
• Ensure adequate emergency response, crisis management and business continuity plans are in place across the Sector, maintained and regularly tested

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in an Aviation environment with at least 5 years recent experience in ASMS.
• Previous ATC license holder preferred
• Good analysis skills
