Job Description Director of Development Financial Planning & Feasibility will be responsible for leading the financial planning and feasibility assessment of development projects within our organization's hospitality portfolio. The Director will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects that align with our financial objectives and strategic goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
01- Lead a team of financial analysts and consultants in conducting comprehensive feasibility studies toassess the financial viability and return on investment of potential projects.
02- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, development, operations, and finance teams, to define project objectives, budgets, and financial performance metrics.
03- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the hospitality sector, informing investment decisions and market positioning strategies.
04- Evaluate potential development sites and properties for financial feasibility, considering factors such as land acquisition costs, construction expenses, operating expenses, and revenue potential.
05- Develop financial proformas, investment analysis models, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate project economics, funding requirements, and potential returns.
06- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and investment partners, providing insights into project feasibility, risks, and financial performance projections.
07- Manage the negotiation of financing agreements, joint venture partnerships, and other financial arrangements with third-party stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk mitigation strategies.
08- Monitor project financial performance against established benchmarks and key performance indicators, identifying variances and addressing issues as they arise to ensure project profitability and success.
09- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in hospitality finance and development, recommending continuous improvements to financial planning processes and methodologies. Qualifications 01- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
02- Proven experience in financial planning, feasibility analysis, or investment analysis within the hospitality industry, with a track record of successfully evaluating and executing complex projects.
03- Strong understanding of hospitality finance principles, including capital budgeting, financial modelling, investment analysis, and valuation techniques.
04- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, market trends, and performance metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
05- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
06- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
07- Proficiency in financial modelling software, spreadsheet applications, and project management tools.
08- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements, tax implications, and financing options related to hospitality development projects.
09- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
