Role & Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational direction in the planning, costing scheduling, and progress tracking of construction projects across their life cycle to ensure timely and efficient delivery of best-in-class projects and overall management of the companies.
Act as the Construction / Contracting Companies (General contracting and MEP) representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution.
Provide leadership and direct the preparation of the functional budgeting, planning, and execution, and monitor performance in order to capitalize upon potential performance improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with Design/Projects teams to negotiate any changes to the scope of work with the client representative and key subcontractors.
Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
Participate in negotiations with government and regulatory in support of client.
Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required for the overall management of the contractors and subcontractors.
Manage the overall performance of construction parties as per the agreed contracts and project plan and deliverables.
Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitor the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
Assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.
Manage team performance and provide input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
Mobilize company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
Work with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
Advise the client and company management of any such change and is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.
Monitor and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 15 years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience in the delivery phase of luxury real estate development - residential, commercial / hospitality projects is essential, ideally with at least 5 years experience in the UAE.
Significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and subcontractors/ technical support personnel.
Proven Leadership ability in managing an organization – people, finance, client management and deliverables.
Directing work and solving complex technical situations/ issues.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulations are required.
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
