Position : Sales Coordinator - Emirates Palace Catering (Full time #537175)

Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Main Responsibilities :

  • Managing the sales process from start to finish, including booking events, entering data into a computer system, and collecting payment from clients.
  • Collate analytical and statistical information to assist in the preparation of budgeting, forecasting and business planning. Track and manage invoices, support with day to day financial administration liaising with the Finance Department as required.
  • Managing the financial aspects of an event such as tracking expenses and generating reports generation and consolidation for weekly meetings. Develop sales reports and monitor KPIs across revenue forecast and yield mgt.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives as a central point of contact (incl. client database management, marketing ROI).
  • Follow-up on events details /menus/ setups/ spl. requirements etc. Cascading event details on time to respective delivery departments to meet client’s expectations. Consolidate event feedback, ensure action if required and keep the record for future event.
  • Ensure self and team adhere to company policies and procedures and business ethic codes to reflect company values and image.
  • Operate within established level of administrative responsibility with regards to sales to ensure efficiency and compliance, including preparation of reports and delivery of any projects assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Discharge other duties as needed or required and deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
  • The role will require engagement for flexible hours and days, based on operational requirements.
  • The job involves both off-site sales and meetings as well as event administrative and support work.

Skills & Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management or a related field. Courses in hospitality, marketing, public relations, business and communications.
  • At Least 2 Years’ Experience in Sales/Customer Service Senior Role, Preferably in Hospitality or Event Management Industry.
  • Superior Sales and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent Written/Spoken English. Proficiency in Arabic Preferred.
