Role
: Associate – Asset Management Location : DubaiRole Purpose:Working with senior management of ADIB Capital’s Asset Management Team to support in the development and management of investment funds and discretionary portfolios.
Key Accountabilities of the role
Assist in conducting investment manager research and due diligence. Review and monitor performance of investment managers. Portfolio Management – Monitor client portfolios and trading screens. Generate investment recommendations for client portfolios as appropriate. Recommendations need to be supported by robust investment research and financial modeling. Compare portfolio holdings against investment limits and guidelines to ensure that there are no breaches. Review NAV calculations received from fund administrators and external managers. Draft information memorandums and other product offering documentation to support the launch of new products. Draft policies and procedures related to funds and other investment products. Prepare client proposals and marketing materials to support the marketing of new and existing products. Prepare periodic factsheets related to all existing products which will be circulated to clients. Prepare payment authorizations and ensure that all product related dues are settled in a timely manner. Work with legal advisors to finalize the agreements with various service providers and counterparties. Liaise with the Sharia Advisors to obtain approvals on new products and issuances. Develop periodic research reports on a wide range of topics that can be distributed to clients. Address product related queries raised by stakeholders including Compliance, Sharia Advisor, Fund Board, Fund Administrator and Custodian. Support to ensure that product related DIFC / DFSA filings are submitted in a timely manner in-line with the regulations. File and maintain records of product related documentation in-line with DFSA / DIFC regulations. Maintain the physical files, folders, audit log of reviews and approvals for record keeping. Participate on sales calls to support business development efforts. Undertake administrative tasks such as scheduling manager meetings and taking meeting notes. Attend to ad-hoc product related requests including drafting of resolutions, running sensitivity analysis and updating / amending documentation.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
Robust understanding of investment structures, products and portfolios. Strong financial modeling and presentation skills. Understanding of DFSA / DIFC regulations. Understanding of Sharia guidelines and restrictions Ability to coordinate workstreams with multiple third parties (e.g., administrators, custodians, regulators, Sharia teams, etc) A team player, detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast pace environment
