Senior Accountant

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage and ensure timely VAT filings in compliance with local regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and procurement process management.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for external audits, including liaising with auditors and providing requested information.
• Assist in documenting financial information and reports required by banks for credit facilities and loans.
• Collaborate in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
• Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Leverage your construction industry experience to address industry-specific accounting challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, VAT regulations, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Experience in the construction industry is mandatory.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pakistani/Indian nationals will be given first preference.
